Introductory Trek with a Fort and a Temple and Narrow Cave Passage to add the Thrill

The trek starts at a village entering the fort wall passing through multiple perimeter walls of an old fort to reach the half way point at which there is a temple of Lord Shiva.

After this there is a descent and another ascent. The narrow cave passage on top adds to thrill and excitement as you need to slide through to pass from one end of the passage to the other end.

Weekend Getaway : Bangalore: Chennagiri Trek

Chennagiri: Natural Fish Massage on a Hill Top for Free

Chennagiri hill is located at about 60 Km from Bangalore. Other famous hills like Nandi Hills and Skandgiri are visible from this hill.

It is about a 2 hr long trek and a good one for someone starting trekking. It is normal muddy trail for half of the distance. After that the gradient becomes a bit steep and is rocky for a quarter of the stretch.

There is a temple at the hill top and a pond. The pond has the fishes which are used for foot scrub.
Relax in the shade of the trees at the pond with your feet inside the water and the fishes will give you a good scrub while you have lunch.
